Four NADOs Taken Off the WADA Compliance Watchlist

On 14 January 2025, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) issued a press release announcing that the National Anti-Doping Organisations (NADOs) of Namibia, Panama, Samoa, and Senegal have been removed from the compliance watchlist.

The NADOs of Namibia, Samoa, and Senegal were placed on the compliance watchlist due to specific unresolved issues highlighted during the Code Compliance Questionnaire (CCQ) process. As Namibia does not have an NADO, the Namibia National Olympic Committee is the interim NADO following the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) directive. The Panama NADO’s legal system was found to be non-compliant with the World Anti-Doping Code.

These four NADOs have been removed from the compliance watchlist upon their successful handling of the non-conformities with the Code.

Furthermore, formal allegations of non-compliance were submitted to the NADOs of Pakistan and Uruguay, as well as the Uganda Olympic Committee (acting as NADO), once the watchlist period concluded. These organisations have until 3 February to rectify their non-conformities or contest the decisions.
