Environmental degradation today calls for strict implementation of laws to minimize the negative effects of the loss of natural resources. Central and State governments continue to put in place legislations with the specific aim of slowing down environmental damage and reversing it where possible. Often, such regulations are obligated under multilateral agreements. Businesses too are investing resources on identifying ways to reduce their carbon footprints.
