In his multifaceted career, Vignesh has been actively engaged on both sides of the patent lifecycle. His tenure at the Patent Office sharpened his expertise in statutory compliance, patentability assessment, and substantive examination. In his current role, he handles patent drafting, filing and prosecution broadly in the field of mechanical, automobile, electro-mechanical, medical devices, domestic appliances and sanitary appliances.

Vignesh holds a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in the field of Tribology and Surface Characterization and a Masters’ degree in Engineering Design which equips him to handle patent matters in the area of satellite technology (ISRO), friction and wear control, braking systems, vehicle suspension systems, vibration analysis, mechanical design, 3D printing technology, vehicle washing solutions, fuel pump, agriculture machines and equipment, water purifier and transmission of energy systems. His research work has been recognized and published in various International Journals.

Capable of navigating various patent-related challenges, Vignesh specializes in client counselling, patent prosecution, and portfolio planning & management of corporate, foreign associates, national and multinational clients. His extensive expertise encompasses patentability, freedom-to-operate, infringement analysis and filing patent applications (convention filing, PCT filing, and National Phase filings), overseeing patent maintenance, and opposition proceedings.
