Athlete-First Platform Sportsversity Launches

Former Gujarat captain Priyank Panchal has steered the launch of Sportsversity, an athlete-first sports education platform aimed at helping individuals build careers within the sports ecosystem. The cricketer will help guide its mission of transforming sports education and career development for athletes and aspiring sports professionals.

Sportsversity has been created to provide athletes with knowledge, skills and industry exposure that can support career development beyond active participation in sports. The platform states that it seeks to serve athletes, students, aspiring sports professionals and parents by providing structured learning opportunities related to the sports industry.

The platform states that there are more than 100 career pathways in sports beyond playing roles and aims to provide participants with insights into these opportunities through specialised educational programmes.

At launch, Sportsversity introduced five dedicated programmes. These include Athlete Wellness & Performance Science; Sports Media, Content & Commentary; Sports Business & Entrepreneurship; Athlete Branding, Career & Finance; and The Sports Family—Parenting & Finance.

The Athlete Wellness & Performance Science programme focuses on aspects of athlete development and performance. Sports Media, Content & Commentary is designed to provide exposure to careers in sports communication and broadcasting. Sports Business & Entrepreneurship addresses the commercial and business side of the sports industry, while Athlete Branding, Career & Finance focuses on personal branding and financial awareness. The Sports Family – Parenting & Finance programme is intended to support families involved in the sporting journey of young athletes.

The platform states that its programmes are designed to combine education with industry engagement and practical exposure. Through these initiatives, Sportsversity aims to connect participants with professionals working across different segments of the sports ecosystem and provide a better understanding of opportunities available within the sector. Sportsversity has also launched a mobile application as part of its efforts to expand access to sports education and career-focused learning.
